Hackergal’s Hackathon

On Wednesday, May 8th, the OLA Hackergal’s Hackathon Club participated in a Canada-wide event where they worked together to apply coding skills they’ve learned to create an interactive project and connect with girls across Canada who were doing the same!

Math Bee

Students in JK-Grade 8 participated in our first ever Math Bee.  Throughout the year, students mastered their math facts at each grade level.  The top two math competitors for each class participated in the Math Bee.  Congratulations to all of the participants.  Their skill set was very impressive!

Family STEM Night

On Thursday, May 9th, the OLA community came together for a Family STEM Night The event was sponsored by the Parent Reaching Out Grant received by our Catholic School Council.

Kindergarten Lenten Promises

When you walk down the halls of Our Lady of the Annunciation School, you’ll see many examples of authentic student learning.  The Kindergarten hallway is no exception.  On display right now are the special Lenten Promises by Mrs. Sansalone and Mrs. Dey’s JK/SK students.  Their promises are priceless and the display demonstrates the way the students are living the gospel values every day.
