Understanding Life Systems – Grade 3

Grade 3 students are scientists and they are learning all about the Growth and Changes in Plants. Students observed and investigated a wide variety of local plants, from trees and mosses in their natural environment to flowers and vegetables and they considered the impact of human activity on plants and their habitats. One Time Donation Fundraiser

The youngest child in each family brought home an important letter regarding our Annual Fundraiser.  In lieu of asking families to sell chocolate or collect donations from friends and family, we are asking each family to make a suggested financial donation of $50.  This is our ONE major school-wide fundraiser and is a “Tax Deductible Donation” fundraiser.  The major benefits of this type ... Winter Coat Drive

This fall, OLA will be participating in the York South St. Vincent de Paul Winter Coat Drive.  There are families in York Region who struggle throughout the year to make ends meet, and find it especially  difficult during the winter months to buy the necessary items to clothe their children appropriately.  Every child and adult deserves to stay warm when the freezing temperatures arrive.  We ...
