Congratulations to Olivia D. in Grade 5 for winning the Oral Communication Area 1 Finals. Olivia advanced to the Board Finals on Thursday, May 9 at Guardian Angels School in Woodbridge to recite her speech on The Humboldt Broncos. Olivia demonstrated wonderful oratory skills.
On Wednesday, May 8th, the OLA Hackergal’s Hackathon Club participated in a Canada-wide event where they worked together to apply coding skills they’ve learned to create an interactive project and connect with girls across Canada who were doing the same!

Students in JK-Grade 8 participated in our first ever Math Bee. Throughout the year, students mastered their math facts at each grade level. The top two math competitors for each class participated in the Math Bee. Congratulations to all of the participants. Their skill set was very impressive!
On Thursday, May 9th, the OLA community came together for a Family STEM Night The event was sponsored by the Parent Reaching Out Grant received by our Catholic School Council.
