During the month of December, in the time of Advent, we will reflect on the virtue of Hope. Hope is the virtue by which we place our trust in Christ’s promises and rely not on our own strength alone, but on the grace of the Holy Spirit. Advent is a time of patient and prayerful waiting for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. We are reminded to reflect upon our many blessings, and to remember what is truly important in our lives: our faith, our families, our friends and the many treasured relationships.
We will come together as a school with Father Peter in order to celebrate this holy season with our Advent Mass on Friday, December 14 at 10:45 a.m. Thank you to Mrs. Tesolin’s Grade 2/3 class and Mrs. Babic’s Grade 3 class for preparing the mass for our community. As always, we invite all OLA families to join us in this special celebration.
You and your family are warmly invited to share in the Advent joy at Our Lady of the Annunciation by attending our ECE / Primary /Junior Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 19th at 7:00 p.m. All students in Grades K-8 will have an opportunity to see the concert at our dress rehearsal on December 18th at 1:00pm The spirit of Christmas is felt by all as we listen to the wonderful Christmas carols that fill our hallways!
